The Person Behind WP AI Mastery

My name is Tevfik Erkan Şahan.

My first computer was a Macintosh Plus — a beige box with a tiny 9-inch black-and-white screen, no hard drive, and a single floppy disk slot. It couldn’t even display color. I was a kid staring at that monochrome glow, and I was hooked. That machine didn’t just introduce me to technology — it set the direction for the rest of my life.

I entered the multimedia world when CD-ROMs were the cutting edge. Sound cards were brand new, interactive media was something only a handful of people knew how to build. I was one of them. I taught myself Macromedia Director and Lingo and started building interactive experiences for some of the biggest brands in the world.

My career went from business cards and brochures to interactive presentations, kiosk applications, and full multimedia projects. I worked at agencies serving global Fortune 100 brands before founding my own. I’ve been running my own agency since 2010 — corporate websites, multilingual e-commerce, large-scale WooCommerce operations.

I discovered WordPress in its earliest beta versions. I’ve lost count of how many projects I’ve completed since then. When AI became viable, I integrated it into everything — Claude Code in the terminal, browser AI for quality control, automated monitoring, the whole system.

But here’s what makes me different from every other “expert” out there: I’m lazy. Proudly, strategically lazy. I’m a hedonist. I cook, I drink wine, I travel, I disappear for days with my six cats and my wife. I built my entire career around working less and living more. That’s not a contradiction — it’s the whole point. I automated and systematized everything so I could spend my time the way I want.

I know exactly what agencies charge because I write those invoices. Enterprise clients? They need us. A two-person business with a WordPress site? They need a friend who knows this stuff — someone who’ll show them how to do it themselves instead of billing them every month.

That’s who I am in this program. Not a guru on a stage. Not a coach reading from slides. Think of me as that friend who happens to be an expert — the one you call when you need honest advice, not a sales pitch. That’s the gap I’m here to fill.
